摘要

本文全面系统地考察和梳理原国立中央大学和金陵大学的物理学科情况。国立中央大学（特别是前身南京高等师范学校和东南大学阶段）的物理学科是中国物理学的摇篮，为全国的物理学科培养了人才。金陵大学物理学科也有其重要贡献。本文关注到以前关注较少的事件和人物，例如，重庆时期的中央大学物理系对地球物理的贡献，以及金陵大学物理系对电影事业的贡献，两系对1940年日全食观测的贡献，以前生平不详的教授，如周长宁。

Abstract

The development of physics in National Central University and in University of Nanking is systematically investigated and studied. Physics in National Central University， especially in the period of Nanjing Higher Normal School and Southeast University， was the cradle of physics in China， contributing many talents to all China. Physics in University of Nanking also made important contributions. Particular attention is paid to events and figures that have received little attention previously， for instance， the contributions of the physics department to geophysics in Central University during the Chongqing period， the contributions of the physics department to the film industry in the University of Nanking， and the contributions to the observation and record of the 1940 total eclipse by both departments. Attention is also paid to professors whose experiences have been unclear， such as C. N. Chou.
