Abstract

Qingshuihe county， in Inner Mongolia， used to be an important ceramics production base in northern China in history. Its ceramics once became popular in the market at home and abroad， playing an important role in the local economic development and cultural heritage. There are two main types of Qingshuihe ceramics： black porcelain and white porcelain. The black porcelains are mainly cylinders， jars and plates， while the white porcelains are bowls， plates and other tableware. Through the investigation of Qingshuihe porcelain art， it is found that its raw materials are mainly local materials with a high content of iron and titanium in them. The production process is mainly manual wheel making， supplemented by grouting molding and other methods. With the development of industrialization， the firing kiln has been replaced by electric kiln. In general， the process， the kiln and the products of Qingshuihe ceramics are distinctive， and the rich historical and cultural values behind them are worth further digging and sorting out so as to better help the inheritance and protection of local intangible cultural heritage.
