Emerging Science and Technology Author Guidelines - Corrections and Retractions

1.General Policy: Articles that have been published online or in print are considered to be the final version. Generally, Emerging Science and Technology Trends does not correct or retract published articles. However, in necessary circumstances (as described below), corrections or retractions can be made.

2.Corrections: If there are unintentional scientific errors within an article that do not significantly affect the results and conclusions of the paper, the editorial department will promptly publish a correction notice in the journal. This notice will detail the changes made to the original text and cite the source of the article. The journal will release a new version of the paper with the corrections and detail the changes made to the original article, indicating the date of the update. The previous version will be archived and directly accessible to readers, but when citing, the latest version of the article should be referenced.

3.Retractions: In the following circumstances, the editorial department will retract an article and publish a retraction statement:

a)When there are serious scientific errors within the article, such that the results and conclusions are unreliable;

b)For articles that are suspected of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism or data fabrication, the editorial department will initiate an investigation and publish a statement to inform readers of the potential risks with the article; upon conclusion of the investigation, the results will be made public. If academic misconduct is confirmed, the editorial department will take retraction measures and issue a retraction statement.
